Saturday, January 28, at 1:30 for a two part program: ammonites and 3D photography.  The meeting will be at Steve Jorgensen’s home at 315 Brentford Circle, Highlands Ranch, CO.   Steve will open his fabulous ammonite collection for us to view, plus help us identify Western Interior Seaway ammonites.  Bring your ammonites from this time period for identification.  Also at this meeting, Shellie Luallin will demonstrate 3D fossil photography for us.

Sunday, February 12, at 1:30 we will have a session on fossil cleaning and preparation.  Learn fossil cleaning and preparation techniques for each other.  We will have fossil echinoids from Florida, fish from Wyoming, and trilobites from Utah for you to work on.  If you have dental picks or a pin vice, bring them along.  I’ll have dental picks for sale for $3, if you don’t have one.  If you have experience in cleaning and preparing fossils, plan to share your techniques with others.  If you have fossils you would like to clean and prepare, bring them with you to get advice on how to clean them.  The meeting will be at my house, 12083 W. 27th Drive, Lakewood, 80215.

Both of these activities are open to all WIPS members.
