WIPS Field Trips 2011 Calendar

Each summer and fall, the Western Interior Paleontological Society conducts field trips to study, recover and collect fossils in Colorado and other parts of the western U.S. You'll find our current field trip schedule on the calendar pages below.

WIPS field trips are available to members only. The cost is $5 per person per trip for adults, and $3 for each child under 12 (must be accompanied by a parent or other adult). This fee helps us cover the cost of handouts and other field trip expenses. Send payment when you sign-up. You will receive a reminder with trip information approximately two weeks prior to the field trip.

Release Forms These release forms must be filled out, signed and turned into the trip leader or you don't go.

How to Sign-Up

Currently, there are three ways to sign up for a field trip.

1) Online: Members Only area

If you have already set up your WIPS user ID and password, go to the Members Only link below and log in. Click on Trip Signup under Member Menu in the navigation at the left. Follow instructions.

2) Online: Field Trip Sign-Up Form

If you have not set up your user ID and password, or are having trouble doing so, click the link below to use the old field trips sign-up form, which is emailed directly to the Field Trips Coordinator.

3) By Mail: Use the Form in Trilobite Tales

Look in your newsletter for a field trip sign-up form and return it by mail, following the instructions on the form. The form is included in both paper and electronic newsletters.

About Announcements of Field Trips

To be as fair as possible to all our members, field trips which are likely to fill quickly will not be available for online sign-up until the issue of the newsletter announcing them is in the mail.
